As the name suggests, thin shell tri-metal bearings have a thickness of the bearing ranging between 2 to 5 mm for the medium capacity engine and thickness up to 10 mm for high-capacity engines. The Babbitt bearing is manufactured by RA Power Solutions up to 1500 mm inner diameter.

We centrifugally cast and machine white metal Babbitt bearings in-house. We rebabbit old and damaged bearings and machine them as per the drawing or sample.

I) Strict quality control procedures are followed right from the selection of raw material, i.e., steel shell, white metal babbitt material, and various alloys used for tri-metal and white metal bearing.

II) We perform rough and final machining of bearings on modern CNC machines. These machines ensure precise tolerances for tri-metal, bi-metal, and white metal Babbitt bearings. We strictly follow the tolerances specified by the manufacturer.

III) We use a centrifugal process to bond the steel back of the bearing with the aluminium-tin alloy. This process ensures strong and reliable bonding. It is again of great importance that the bonding between the steel shell and the alloy is strong.

IV) We manufacture undersize bearings or bearings with a higher outer diameter than standard. We follow the drawing or sample of the bearing.
