1. Obtain all dimensions and inspect for abnormal or noticeable damage to the bearing shell and surface.

The BEZ generator bearing is fitted on a CKD Skoda diesel generating set. The generator shaft developed ovality due to continuous running of the diesel generating set. The BEZ alternator bearing got damaged, and as per the technicians, it required replacement.
