Application of Onsite Crankshaft Grinding Machine
- A crankshaft grinding machine is designed to undertake repair of all main & auxiliary engines installed on vessels having crankpin/ main journal diameters up to 700 mm in diameter.
- The crankshaft of heavy-duty compressors used in the gas & oil sector can be repaired successfully. The machine is designed in such a way that there is no requirement for the removal of the crankshaft from the compressor casing.
- The bearing seating area of the rotor shaft, turbine shaft, alternator shaft, pump shaft, and all types of cylindrical shafts can be repaired onsite without removing them from the main equipment
Design of Crankshaft grinding machine
- The crankpin and main journal repair machine are designed to be carried to any site all over the world. It is light in weight.
- The main body of the machine is manufactured out of Titanium alloy which makes it strong enough to work continuously in difficult site conditions.
- The design and construction of the machine are done in a way that creates minimum vibration. The crankshaft can be repaired even while sailing the vessel.
- In general taper & ovality after grinding of crankpin & main journal can be controlled within 0.02 mm.
- The machine is capable of delivering and maintaining the surface finish of 20 RA value which is far better than the standard of surface finish specified by the engine manufacturers.
- The design of the machine is simple & can be easily operated.
Training
- The training on the operation of crankshaft grinding machine is given in our in-house training school based in IMT Manesar Gurgaon India.
- We also extend the training to clients at the site free of cost.
- The machine is easy to maintain.
